About Emilia Clarke

Anyone who happened to watch HBO’s big budget TV Series Game of Thrones, could easily conclude two things. One, HBO has high hopes on Game of Thrones, evident from the lavish way in which each and every episode has been shot. Two, Emilia Clarke is going to be a star by the end of this season. This young lady is lucky to get the role of her lifetime just a year after graduating from the Drama Centre in London. The role is that of a Targaryen Princess, Daenerys Targaryen, dethroned and exiled with her arrogant brother at a very young age. How the innocent sister and the ruthless brother gather enough forces to get back their lost power is what the series progresses to narrate.

Emilia began acting at the age of three after seeing the musical “Show Boat”, in which her Sound Engineer father, was working at that time. She then played guest role in “Doctors” and as Savannah in the movie Triassic Attack which is releasing this November.

When we ask Emilia about how she feels about her role, she says that she and her family are extremely happy about her success right at the start of her career. She says “My mum is just insane. More than anything they’re just so overjoyed that I get to do the thing that I love, all the time, and that’s how I’m going to earn my living, just doing this amazing thing where I get to wake up every day and just like, live my dream of what I wanted to [do] since I was about 3 years old. So, I think they’re just really pleased.”

Emilia really deserves all the pride and joy for winning over hundred others who were competing for the same role. It’s amazing how the producers got convinced that Emilia would suit this role of a young girl who as the series progresses would transform into someone different altogether. Now it’s all left for fans to wait and watch how Daenerys’ character takes shape in the coming episodes!
